As I understand it, brainstorming is a group activity, whereas I usually work alone.

I’m getting to the end of my career, so I’m not looking to diversify, although I’m always striving to better myself. I don’t know what is meant here by brainstorm. I’ll take it in the sense of “to plan”. So, when I’m booked for a large project and if I’m not very comfortable with the subject matter (or part of it) and I happen to have time available, I’ll take the time to read articles or books on the subject matter.

During quiet periods I often speak to my partner about retraining as a bus driver etc and she says don’t be a twit, or words to that effect, and then after a bit the work starts up again.

Priorities Apr 29

Order of priority a the beginning of a slow(er) period:
- Resting, relaxing
- Doing things around and in the house I normally can never do because of my work
- Brainstorming about my work or how to become more efficient

In 99% percent of the cases I never get farther than resting/relaxing a bit more.
In 10% percent of the cases I get to doing some things around the house.
In below 1% of the cases I get to brainstorm about my work.
